Letter: Fear of nuclear war should bring us together
Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 | 9:26 a.m.
Where were you when they bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Where were you when they attacked Pearl Harbor? Where were you when the attack of 9/11 happened? Do you recall the threat from Russia's nuclear arsenal? The threat of a nuclear attack is scary.
I visited the Pearl Harbor memorial, which was an emotional experience. Here in Las Vegas, painted on a wall on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard, is a painting for those who lost their lives on 9/11 to rest in peace.
War is a very sad time for all. I do not understand war fully. In a time where we are lost in thought, we must recall the past and ask God for enlightenment. The thought of Iran as a nuclear threat is scary.
Is there anything we can agree upon? I anticipate the next step from the great minds of our leaders.
