Letter: Iraq has just diverted attention from Iran

Remorse certainly must cross the minds of intelligent people whenever they think about the tens of thousands killed and maimed because they were led to believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and now learn that it is Iran and not Iraq that someday may put that mushroom cloud over their country.

When Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona was asked recently what actions should be taken to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb, he said "there are no good options." He should have also added a footnote, saying that anyone who believes the Iraq war has made the world a safer place in which to live needs to have their heads examined.
