Most women don't advertise turning 55. But most women are not Shelley Berkley, the irrepressible Nevada congresswoman. Not only is she celebrating it, she is doing what only Shelley Berkley would do with it: Trying to raise money off the anniversary of her birth! Sayeth the invite for the Jan. 26 event at the South Coast: "In 1951, two great creations were introduced to the world - Color Television & Shelley Berkley!" It is touted as the "bi-annual" "Berkley Birthday Bash" - every two years because only her odd-numbered birthdays occur in the even-numbered years she is running for office. So for $55, you can come celebrate Berkley's birthday and help her campaign. Such a deal.
