Letter: Praise for those who spoke out
Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 | 8:14 a.m.
Regarding Paul L. Larsen's Jan. 8 letter, "Leakers, Times betraying U.S.": If he thinks that we have been wronged for speaking out about something secret that never should have been -- President Bush's authorization of wiretapping -- I suggest he buy a one-way ticket to Moscow. There he can enjoy being compelled to live the rest of his life surrounded by secrets 24/7.
Those individuals who reported the secret nonsense that has been going on in the Bush administration are the heroes of our time, not those who think that they are above the law and thought that they could get away with hiding things from the people.
It is not Bush's government -- it is mine and all of the millions of others who want the truth about everything, starting with weapons of mass destruction.
