Letter: Bipartisan meeting just a charade
Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 | 7:46 a.m.
President Bush will do anything to boost his sagging ratings. The latest charade was reported in the Washington Post as being a bipartisan meeting in the White House of former Secretaries of State and Defense. As if George W. Bush has any intention of heeding the advice of any anyone other than his closest White House advisers, much less the attending Democrats.
There appeared to be no sincerity in such a meeting, one might even call it a sham. He appears to be reacting to the cover picture on a December issue of Newsweek depicting him as a "Bubble Boy."
