Sometimes it's hard to cover politics from far away. A Cox News Service piece on the possibilities for Democratic gubernatorial pickups had this to say about the Nevada race: "In Nevada, Republican Congressman Jim Gibbons is trying to succeed term-limited Republican incumbent Kenny Guinn, but neither is fond of the other. Still, the five-term Gibbons has raised nearly five times more donations than his two Republican primary opponents combined. The Democrats' hope appears to be Henderson Mayor Jim Gibson, who has raised twice the money as state Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus." Guinn and Gibbons don't like each other? OK. But the Democrats best hope is Gibson? Bet Titus loved that one.
