Flashpoint for Feb. 15, 2006

Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006 | 12:32 p.m.

So, Chancellor Jim Rogers said Tuesday that the univer- sity system "is going to have a very good relationship with the next governor, regardless of which of the six that is." That's an interesting statement. First, the man who once questioned Rep. Jim Gibbons' intellect thinks that relationship will be hunky-dory should the congressman become governor? Second, and more interesting, six candidates? Let's count: Gibbons, Dina Titus, Bob Beers, Jim Gibson and Lorraine Hunt. That's five, even if you use Council for a Better Nevada math. So who is the mysterious sixth? Maybe he knows something about The Happy Mayor no one else does? Or could it be that No. 6 is Rogers himself?
