Who would have ever thought? He's such a laid-back man, some might even say milquetoast. And now Nevada's Harry Reid, the Senate minority leader, is the subject of local and national attack Web sites. The local GOP has one at www.thereidworld.com. And last week the national Republicans, trying to pull Reid deeper into the Abramoff scandal, erected their own: www.gopsenators.com/harryshypocrisy. Never has so much cyberspace been dedicated to a man who was once thought to be politically entombed and has occasionally been derided as corpse-like. If the clearest sign of prominence in politics is that you are being attacked, judging by the daily volume, Reid has arrived.
