Admonition to anyone planning a California wine country tour the first weekend in March: Look out for inebriated lobbyists and legislators. Note to lobbyists: If you want your bills passed, get ready to be inebriated up there the first weekend in March. That's when California Speaker Fabian Nunez and Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer will be honoring Nevada Assistant Majority Leader John Oceguera. The $3,000 per person event - you read that right - will feature "an afternoon and evening in California's beautiful Napa Valley, private wine tastings, lunch, dinner and all transportation." One more note to lobbyists: My advice is to bring your spouses or suffer the consequences.
