So what does it REALLY mean, the Nevada State Education Association's endorsement of gubernatorial hopeful Dina Titus? It means a lot of things. It means that loyalty is rewarded - Titus has been with the teachers ever since she came to Carson City. It means there was no compelling reason that Henderson Mayor Jim Gibson gave - or could give, probably - for NSEA to abandon Titus. It means bodies - NSEA has 24,000 members, and at least half are Democrats and most are registered to vote. That has to help, even if only a quarter of them turn out in August. And with turnout unlikely to surmount 35 percent, I'm still wondering: Where is Gibson going to get his votes?
