Letter: Employees ignored in smoking debate

I have been following the recent debates, pro and con, regarding smoking in public places, including, but not limited to, Question 5's impacts on:
I am satisfied that the preponderance of the medical evidence has established that secondhand smoke is injurious and a very real and hazardous health problem to those exposed.
What remains unanswered and generally ignored in these debates is the exposure to secondhand smoke to those trapped employees who must endure its evil effects for an entire shift, day in and day out, year in and year out.
Who speaks for them?
