In the U.S. deaths in Iraq daily updates sent Dec. 5 to Dec. 19, the Associated Press erroneously reported the number of U.S. military members killed in the Iraq war. On Dec. 5, duplicated counting incorrectly added two deaths to the cumulative total. On Dec. 19, duplicated counts incorrectly added two more deaths. Dropping the duplications, the correct number of U.S. deaths as of Tuesday was 2,952, not 2,956, according to AP's count.
