Letter: Bush needs to get moving on strategy
Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 | 7:23 a.m.
President (I choke when I call him president) Bush does not want to be rushed into making a decision on Iraq. A comparison would be "Nero fiddled while Rome burned." He should be burning the midnight oil with his advisers to come up with a believable, usable strategy - not something politically motivated.
How many more of our military have to be killed or wounded before he heeds some good advice and stops being stubborn?
In the next few days we will be seeing and hearing about him getting away for the holidays with his family. Lives are at stake the longer it takes to come up with a plan.
Please, President Bush, roll up your sleeves, take your advisers with you, and make it a working holiday. The American people at home and our heroic military in Iraq and Afghanistan deserve nothing less.
