Letter: When does will of the people count first?

In a Dec. 8 editorial, the Las Vegas Sun was disappointed in a District Court judge's ruling staying the implementation of the smoking ban because: "We believe the vote of the people should be the final word on this issue." Yet a Sun editorial from 2003 applauded the Nevada Supreme Court's ruling on educational funding that clearly made a mockery of "the vote of the people." The notion that consistency is irrelevant to progressives is alive and well!
