Letter: Incompetence is the mark of Bush’s tenure
Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 | 7:14 a.m.
It is quite evident, no matter what proposal is submitted to President Bush, nor from whomever it may be, the proposal will die wherever it is. This president will go down in history as the worst, most incompetent president the United States has ever had. Iraq will remain unstable as well as unwinnable.
After four years of mistakes, nothing we try now may stop Iraq's slide into chaos.
Just as Bush had praised the former director of FEMA, Michael Brown, the same rhetoric of praise was used on John Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the U.N. and on Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
Those political appointees were removed because of their inefficiency and sent a reminder to the public of the careless, idiotic, indecisive political moves of Bush. His course of action only runs parallel to his prior failed accomplishments as a younger, wannabe entrepreneur and politician. The new slogan for America should be "In God We Trust," not "In George W. Bush We Trust."
