Letter: Recycling not made easy for homeowners
Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 | 7:44 a.m.
Regarding Rob Dorinson's Dec. 7 letter, "Tests necessary to find best recycling method'':
With respect to recycling, I don't see why anyone would really be interested. I have lived in Las Vegas since 1994. I have asked for recycling bins for a long time. I have received two white containers for newspapers and a couple of years later, they finally sent me a blue container for glass, which I hardly use, because most everything is made from plastic.
I have called Republic Services for the red container, for plastic, three times since July of this year and their reply is that the red containers are on back order. If they truly want us to recycle, why don't they just give every homeowner all three containers when they move in. I would like to recycle, but I can't seem to get their attention.
