A story in Thursday's Sun about District Judge Douglas Herndon ordering a temporary stay in the state's new smoking restrictions law reported wrongly that he has received campaign contributions from plaintiffs in the case. Herndon disclosed in court that he received money from the plaintiffs' attorneys, not the plaintiffs themselves. The Sun regrets the error.
