Letter: Work ethic of Congress in serious doubt
Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006 | 7:27 a.m.
I couldn't believe the fact that members of the Senate and House are in session for less than 100 days a year.
That's less than 20 full weeks. Where are they for the other 32 weeks? So it's 32 weeks of doing nothing but going to their states to tell the voters that they deserve to be re-elected.
It's time to get full-time, honest, sincere people to do a good job and give the voters an honest day's work for more than 100 days.
Let's clean house, once and for all. We deserve better.
