It's amazing how the Republican pundits can claim that it's been five years since the last terrorist attack on American soil and that Bush's war on terrorism must be working.
They commit to this analogy without being challenged by the media or the Democrats. Why can't they be reminded that we went from 1994 to 2000 without an international terrorist act on American soil?
It's astonishing to see Republicans take nothing and make something out of it, and the Democrats can't take something and make anything of it. If the Democrats want their message to resonate with the American people, they should repeat, repeat and repeat until it does just that.
If the Republicans can do it with lies, why can't the Democrats do it with the truth?
