Letter: Cockroach symbolism extends elsewhere

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's Aug. 4 editorial, "Creepy crawly symbolism," in which you ponder bemusedly on the cockroach as candidate for state insect and the political ramifications thereof, ending with Assembly Majority Leader Barbara Buckley's comment, "I think we already have enough pests in Carson City."

There is an old, fitting Texas adage that might have had the Bush clan in mind, which is, "Politicians are like cockroaches. It ain't what they eat and carry off, it's what they fall into and mess up."
