FLASHPOINT for Aug 07, 2006

I was driving home the other day and I saw this guy waving one of those directional signs in Green Valley. It wasn't for a condo opening or a car wash. Turns out it was an Assembly candidate, Chris Yergensen, who has taken quite the unusual step of hanging out at busy intersections waving the placards. The guy isn't asking for money, so I guess he needs to be innovative. If you live there, you can't miss him. And these are not small signs - they are huge, about 4 feet by 8 feet. I'm surprised he's not causing car accidents. Or at least making people believe there is a big high-rise opening or a super carwash nearby. If he wins, I wonder if he will bring those signs to Carson City to display his votes.
