Letter: No parallel between pilgrims, immigrants
Monday, April 24, 2006 | 7:20 a.m.
I have a hard time understanding the rationale of Randy Bolton's April 12 letter, which carried the headline "No Border Patrol at Plymouth Rock."
Am I to believe Mr. Bolton is attempting to draw a parallel between the Mayflower boatload of pilgrims, he calls illegal immigrants, and the immigration facing us today?
If he is, I have only one question for him: Who provided the housing, medical needs, food and other life essentials that the pilgrims required to survive?
Certainly not the government!
