As the debate rages on about the war in Iraq, the illegal immigrant problem, FEMA and its troubles, and other national problems, people should keep in mind that it's the Republicans who have controlled Congress since 1994 and the White House since 2001.
The Republicans in the House and Senate control the committees that determine what bills will be examined, and it's the Republican majority leaders who determine what bills will be voted on. It's Republican President Bush who then decides what direction the country will take.
So as much as they would like to blame Democrats for the nation's ills, it's a Republican show. If you're unhappy with the direction the nation is taking, blame the Republicans - they're in total control.
