Letter: A lesson learned:Never again going to vote Republican
Saturday, April 15, 2006 | 7:34 a.m.
I was fortunate years ago to work for 20 years for a textile company that was owned by non-arrogant Republicans. They took care of us employees like we were family. Upon retirement we all got a modest pension depending on the amount of years we worked for the company. My father and father-in-law worked for the company for 40 years. The corporation eventually sold out to another American-based company. How may of these non-arrogant Republican-run companies are left in this country?
I've been an independent voter all my adult life. After seeing the results of a government run by the worst Republican administration in the history of this country, I've changed my voting designation to Democrat. If you're a Republican candidate running for any kind of office, you'll never get my vote. I'm proud I voted for some fine Republicans in the past. There has to be a revival of the two-party system if we are to survive as a nation.
Forget about the knight coming over the horizon on his or her white horse brandishing a great sword. We fed-up American citizens are that knight. It's time we start acting like one.
