A look at how the 2008 Democratic presidential nominating calendar will work:
-Iowa will hold the first caucus on a Tuesday, probably in January, as usual.
-One or two states will hold caucuses on the Saturday after the Iowa caucus.
-New Hampshire will hold its primary, the nation's first, on the Tuesday after Iowa's caucuses.
-One or two states will hold primaries soon afterward.
-The national window for all other caucuses and primaries would then open.
