Sheriff Bill Young should save Clark County money just like Sheriff Joe Arpiao saved Maricopa County, Ariz., "big bucks."
Create a "tent city" type of jail, outfit the residents with pink shorts, feed them bologna sandwiches or peanut butter sandwiches, work them in community projects, and do not coddle them.
Stand a huge "VACANCY" sign for all to see, and act like a jail, not a country club.
If Sheriff Young instituted this type of jail, maybe he would see a reduction in crime! Which gang members, convicted felons or pedophiles would want to repeat offend and return to such housing? I'd bet a bundle that a large number would not want to go back to their usual ways.
Why spend millions for a new jailhouse? A vacant lot with outhouses, tents and a barbed wire fence combined with razor wire would suffice!
Oh ... wait ... are we in fear of the ACLU?
