Letter: Bush’s shenanigans put nation in danger

My father came to the United States in 1921, legally emigrating from Romania. He had to have a sponsor and a job; his uncle took on the responsibility until he earned enough money to send for my mother, which was a year later.
They came on ships, through Ellis Island and ended up in Minneapolis. As far as they knew, they would never see any of their families again, but being able to live in America was worth it. In 1940 I was able to help my father study for his citizenship papers. In 1941 he became a citizen, and a very proud American.
We have since learned that my father's entire family left behind in Romania were victims of the Holocaust. By his teachings alone I became as patriotic a citizen as you could possibly imagine. For business and pleasure I have traveled across this great nation of ours many times, and I love it!
So I tremble when I think of how President Bush and his group of inept cronies are placing us in jeopardy by leaving us unsafe and insecure through their dangerous incompetence. We are fast becoming an insignificant entity in world trade, we have the Katrina victims being ignored, and our soldiers and many civilians are being killed or crippled on a daily basis in a no-win, senseless war.
President Bush should resign or be impeached now. Those of us who love America cannot afford any more of his ridiculous shenanigans and obvious disregard for country, truth and fact.
