First let me say that I wish Gov. Kenny Guinn a speedy recovery - very speedy - from his hip replacement surgery. You may have heard that the governor had his right hip replaced at Spring Valley Medical Center on Tuesday - yes, right here in Las Vegas! Now for the truth of why Guinn had the surgery: It seems that the governor has been favoring his left side since he proposed that tax increase in 2003, causing his right hip to atrophy. My sources tell me that the next surgery will be for a double-knee replacement because of his subsequent genuflection to all his conservative friends he angered back in '03.
