FLASHPOINT for Apr 02, 2006

If you don't think that the transferability of ethical stink will be the story of Campaign '06, two examples from Home Sweet Nevada show you better think again. First, the Democrats went after Rep. Jon Porter for taking money from Tony Rudy, a former Tom DeLay aide who pleaded guilty in the Jack Abramoff case. Porter has a real hypocrisy issue here because he demanded Democrats return Abramoff-tainted money, but has not called on Republican cronies to do so. This makes it worse. And then we had Dina Titus calling on Jim Gibson to return money from Triple Five, now implicated in G-Sting. Gibson returned the money, but fired back at Titus' ethics in other matters. The shape of things to come.
