Letter: Sheehan, others should back war against terrorism
Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 | 9:07 a.m.
The warriors I communicate with would disagree with Lachance. Care packages from home are fantastic but what our troops need most from us is moral support from the home front to complete their mission. Our troops believe that cutting and running is not an option. Winning World War III against the terrorists is their mission. If we help them, the world wins and they come home!
Lachance's statement that, "There has been no call to stop paying for this unjustified war ..." is wrong. On Aug. 14, Cindy Sheehan, the current darling of the anti-war movement, publicly stated, "My son was killed in 2004. I am not paying my taxes for 2004. You killed my son, George Bush, and I don't owe you a penny." (Source: World Net Daily.)
I agree with Lachance that America should spend more for better weapons and training that will allow more of our warriors to come home whole after completing their mission.
She missed or ignored the point of my letter, however. I meant to expose the anti-American left-wingers who are fronting for the anti-American war movement!
Sheehan's abuse of her son's life and reputation to promote her and Michael Moore's anti-American agenda is disgusting. God bless, and Semper Fi, Casey.
