If the federal government really is sincere about rebuilding the Gulf Coast states that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, then I hope that the jobs that it will take to rebuild there go to those people who lost their homes and jobs there.
The contractors of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama should have the first picks. Only after that should out-of-state contractors be considered.
