A semi-truck carrying 71,000 pounds of turkeys was in a collision with an Oldsmobile this morning on Interstate 15 near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, injuring one person, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The accident took place at a little after 3 a.m., Trooper Kevin Honea said.
Most details of the accident remained unknown this morning, such as the extent of injuries to the individuals and how the accident occurred, Honea said.
He said, however, that the turkeys were loaded onto a second refrigerated unit and the Clark County Health District was inspecting the cargo.
