Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 | 11:07 a.m.

A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted a Las Vegas man who has an extensive criminal history on a felony weapons charge and for allegedly distributing at least 50 grams of methamphetamine.

The grand jury indicted Dave Arndt, 33, on eight counts, including conspiracy to distribute and possession of methamphetamine and for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the indictment.

Holly Cizl, 18, was also indicted on four counts of distribution of controlled substance for alleged dealing of Arndt's drugs, according to the indictment.

Arndt and Cizl were arrested in Sept. 8 after a 4-month-long criminal investigation, according to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The ATF said it found drugs, a loaded semiautomatic pistol and almost $3,000 in cash at the suspect's residence in the 2600 block of Rialto Road, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Rainbow Boulevard.

Arndt's criminal history dates back almost 10 years, the indictment stated.

In 1996, he was convicted of attempted grand larceny and about four years later was convicted of burglary, the indictment stated.

From 2000 to 2003, he was convicted of possession of a credit card without a holder's consent, trafficking in controlled substances and possession of a 9mm pistol.
