Attorney general seeks more info on allegations

Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 | 11:08 a.m.

The Nevada attorney general's office has asked for additional information about the accusations of a Reno woman who has accused the head of the state's tourism initiatives of sexual harassment.

In a motion in U.S. District Court in Reno, Stephen Quinn, senior deputy attorney general, asked for additional details on 12 allegations made in a suit filed against Bruce Bommarito, executive director of the Nevada Commission on Tourism. The attorney general's office is representing Bommarito in the case.

The suit, filed in August by former NCOT employee Teri Schloemer, accuses Bommarito of sexual harassment. Bommarito told the Las Vegas Sun that Schloemer's charges are false.

Quinn's request seeks several details, particularly dates and locations of alleged incidents, calling the complaint "vague" and "ambiguous."

Schloemer's attorney, William Jeanney, argued in a response opposing the motion that the details sought by Quinn would come out in the discovery process.
