Evelyn Arvilla Burton
Evelyn Arvilla Burton, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 6, 1915, in Arriba, Colo. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Velva Clark of Las Vegas; one son, Reon Burton of Haxtun, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Haxtun. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Odyssey Health Care, 4011 McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Patricia Hill
Patricia Hill, 82, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 15, 1923, in Mundare, Alberta. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Roger R. Hill and Craig Hill, both of Vermont; one daughter, Patty Thurston of Nevada City, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Benjamin H. Lee
Benjamin H. Lee, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday. He was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Bell, Calif. He was a retired home furnishings salesman, a Navy veteran, a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and an alumnus of Oregon State University,
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy E. Lee of San Francisco; one son, John B. Lee of Min Buri, Thailand; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Nevada Chapter, 5190 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89118, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6000 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 9C, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Bruce G. Lindsay
Bruce G. Lindsay, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 9, 1932, in Newark, N.J. A resident for five years, he was a retired insurance actuary and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one son, Jeff Lindsay of Denver; two daughters, Susan Lindsay of Seattle and Suzanne Lindsay of Harrisonburg, Va.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Thaddeus Frank Matusik
Thaddeus Frank Matusik, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1930, in East Chicago, Ind. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired district sales manager, an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 78 in East Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Anne K.; two daughters, Karen L. Matusik of Littleton, Colo., and Nance Matusik Kyloh of France; two brothers, John Matusik of Griffith, Ind., and Stanley Matusik of Whiting, Ind.; one sister, Jeannie Macek of Highland, Ind.; and one grandchild.
Visitation and a vigil is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.
