Letter: Tax revenue will be needed
Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 | 4:03 a.m.
I think it is past time for Congress to rescind President Bush's tax cuts to the wealthiest people in the country. The federal government is going to need every tax dollar it can scrape up in the years ahead.
We can only hope that Halliburton, the corporation headed by Dick Cheney before he became vice president, isn't handed another no-bid contract as it was in Iraq.
The corporation's subsidiary, Kellogg, Brown and Root, is one of this nation's largest nonunion construction companies.
