Kermit Lee Knox
Kermit Lee Knox, 57, of Louisiana died Sept. 3. He was born Jan. 1, 1948, in Louisiana. A former Las Vegas resident for 42 years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; five sons, Shawn Knox, Alvin Knox, Jagger Knox, Thomas Durr and Kevin Ownes, two daughters, Shannon Ownes and Priscilla Durr, his mother, Dorothy Jones, and two brothers, James E. Jones and Michael Knox, all of Las Vegas; 11 sisters, Maxine Carter, Augusta Knox, Sandra Plummer, Kerens Jones and Florence Nibblett, all of Las Vegas, Debra Howard, Paulette Dowd and Marie Augustine, all of California, and Jancis Johnson, Bobbie Anderson and Jayna Knox, all of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 1941 H. St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Christine Alice Moore
Christine Alice Moore, 60, of North Las Vegas died Friday. She was born July 25, 1945, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 29 years, she was a licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Moore of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Moore of Frisco, Texas, and Stephen Moore of North Las Vegas; and four sisters, Ellen Toland of Chino Valley, Ariz., Kathy Gurule of Bloomfield, N.M., Amy Pollock of Las Vegas and Martha Sandovac of Boulder City.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Ora Lee 'B.T.' Palmer
Ora Lee "B.T." Palmer, 80, of Las Vegas died Aug. 29 in North Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Wilton, La. A resident for 36 years, she was a hospital housekeeper.
She is survived by two daughters, Ora Washington and Bobbie Adams, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Eugene Palmer of North Las Vegas and Joseph Loper and Andre Loper, both of Las Vegas; 15 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 977 Hassel Ave. Burial will follow in Davis' Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Clinton Lee Stevens
Clinton Lee Stevens, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 9, 1939, in Picayune, Miss. A resident for 40 years, he was a maintenance engineer for the Clark County School District.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carrie; three daughters, Brenda Darling, Lisa Garrett and Angie Stevens, and three sons, Michael Stevens, Mark Stevens and Anthony Stevens, all of Las Vegas; six sisters, Lorine McCloskey and Joyce Hunt, both of Las Vegas, and Gladys Nixon, Mary Louise Dantzler, Shaddie Stevens and Annie Means, all of Picayune; four brothers, Jimmy Stevens of Marshall, Texas, and Michael Stevens, George Stevens Jr. and Joseph Stevens, all of Picayune; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Alice L. Williams
Alice L. Williams, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 11, 1943, in Lyon, Miss. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Andrew Williams of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia Williams of Connecticut; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
