twitterCandelight vigil to honor 9-11 victims

Metro Police and the Las Vegas City Council will hold a special candlelight memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday at Police Memorial Park, 3250 Metro Academy Way, to remember the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Guest speakers include Sheriff Bill Young, Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese, City Councilman Larry Brown, Las Vegas Fire Chief David Washington and Clark County Fire Chief Earl Greene.
The Palo Verde High School vocal ensemble, Vocal Infinity, will offer musical tributes during the ceremony, which will also feature the Southern Nevada Multi-Agency Honor Guard.
