Letter: Why Nevada needs a woman governor

The fact is that Nevada is at or near the bottom compared to other states in spending for these items. I want a governor who will be concerned for the education of our children and the welfare of ordinary Nevadans, and you're not going to get that with Congressman Jim Gibbons or state Sen. Bob Beers, both of whom are arch-conservatives who never saw a tax cut they didn't like.

So I'd like to see either state Sen. Dina Titus or Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt govern the state. I believe that either woman would bring with them a concern for Nevada citizens, which the men mentioned would not.
