Why does it seem that the election for governor is around the corner? With all the media attention, it seems like October 2006, not October 2005. The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce will add to that perception Tuesday when it hosts a "2006 Gubernatorial Forum (in 2005. The panel surely will feature the three Republicans falling over each other touting their business-friendly bona fides and the two Democrats saying what great friends they can be (really!) to small businesses. The event will take place at the headquarters of health care behemoth Sierra Health Services, so I assume the candidate talking points will include no HMO-bashing and the requisite suck-up to Chief Executive Tony Marlon.
