Letter: Still disgusted with Sheehan
Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 | 10:43 a.m.
Yes, in a previous letter I vilified Sheehan's political agenda and her defamation of her dead freedom fighter's character. Her son, Casey, re-enlisted, knowing he was going back to Iraq to continue the war against terrorism. Ms. Sheehan encouraged Casey to become a deserter and move to Canada! I am disgusted with her words and actions advancing an anti-American, left-wing agenda by denigrating the commitment of Casey and all other warriors.
Just Google Cindy Sheehan or Michael Moore or Crawford Peace House and read all the anti-American drivel to your heart's content! Sheehan and her comrades are gutting morale by aiding the enemy. A "real dialogue," as Mr. Pia is calling for, would not include phrases such as "liar," "filth-spewer," "war monger" or "biggest terrorist in the world," which are being directed at President Bush from the left.
Sheehan also claims "American troops occupied New Orleans," and she blames Israel for her son's death (source: Washington Post, Sept. 30).
As to the "right-wing extremist" moniker Pia applied to me, I prefer the more compassionate label of "right-wing conservative." My views as a conservative are mainstream, but, of course, I know that to some people, any conservative viewpoint is always extremist!
