When you consider that one female dog and her puppies can produce 67,000 dogs in six years, and one female cat and her kittens can produce 420,000 cats in seven years, it's easy to see how sterilizing even one animal prevents thousands of animals from facing starvation, disease, abuse and death on the streets or euthanasia in shelters.
Sterilization can also make animals healthier and happier: It reduces the risk for reproductive cancers and makes animals much less likely to roam, fight, "mark their territory" or have behavioral problems.
Please, if you haven't already, make an appointment today to have your animal companions sterilized. To learn more about the benefits of spaying and neutering, please visit HelpingAnimals.com.
