Letter: History will show Bush is our Nero

It will take a long time for history to judge his presidency, but if my crystal ball is in focus and connected to the time machine, history will judge his presidency sharply. The history books will highlight the unjust war in Iraq, the monumental increase in the national debt, the ballooning negative balance of trade and most of all his preference for big business contrasted to his indifference to the need of the poor and middle class. History will cite his aloofness and lack of preparedness to deal with natural disasters while summering at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

It sounds like a replay of Nero fiddling while Rome burns.
