Checking out the real estate scene

Real estate professionals and others with an interest in commercial real estate survey Las Vegas projects Friday on the annual National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' bus tour.
About 400 people took the four-hour tour, in its 17th year, filling seven buses and viewing 94 properties. Most of the projects this year were office buildings, a big change from two years ago when most were industrial. Skyrocketing Las Vegas land costs are responsible for the change, a tour guide said, noting that office properties offer a greater return on investment.
