Letter: California traffic influence too heavy

Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005 | 9:19 a.m.

Many Californians have relocated to Las Vegas and unfortunately have brought their driving habits and attitudes along with them. They are the ones who try to prevent people from making a lane change and cut in and out at high speeds just to get two car lengths ahead. All one has to do is listen to the rush-hour traffic reports about accidents on every major highway, street or road. Sadly, these aren't all fender-benders -- many are fatal accidents.

Why don't the good people of Las Vegas put their feet down and insist that the laws already on the books are enforced? It would save lives, bring about an attitude adjustment and lower insurance rates.
