Letter: Be sure to keep the ‘ignorant’ informed
Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 | 8:48 a.m.
Regarding Phil Ventura's Nov. 20 letter, "Troops need leadership, not empty slogans": It is unbelievable that among the people of Las Vegas lives such a brilliant mind. My question for this brilliant mind is when does he depart for Washington to straighten out the president and the vice president, and proceed to Iraqi to lead the pullout of the troops?
This brilliant mind should be able to accomplish this feat and be back in Las Vegas to lead the poor uneducated people of Nevada before Christmas. Please teach the ignorant people of this great country how to read the minds of our leaders and how to recognize half-truths. Oh, how I am looking forward to his leadership here in Nevada and in Washington -- he cannot possibly leave it to others as they are ignorant of the facts and cannot be trusted to make sound judgments on our nation's behalf.
Have a good trip, keep the ignorant informed, make sure you inform the nation you are replacing the vice president and who will be his replacement. I am sure it will not be Phil Ventura, as this would be beneath his brilliant mind to fill this lowly position.
