I warned you that this would happen. I told you in a previous Flashpoint that a bomb was ticking in Carson City. And now, inevitably, it has exploded. Smashmouth political operative Chuck Muth has set off a controversy in the capital by celebrating the case of a teacher who complained he was not allowed to teach pre-1865 American history. The school district has insisted this is nonsense. But Muth, through his Citizen Outreach website and blast e-mails, has pushed the case into the Nevada Appeal and now The Washington Post. The ever-relentless Muth has been pounding the story for weeks, surely doing to the school district up there what he did for years in Nevada politics to friends and foes alike: Driving them batty.
