Letter: Coming from Mr. Bush, that’s a compliment
Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005 | 9:24 a.m.
So President Bush believes that people like me, who can see the fallacy and stupidity of the Iraq war, are "deeply irresponsible."
Well, let's see what this man thinks is "responsible."
He believes that bankrupting a country is fine as long as massive tax breaks are given to the wealthy. He thinks that padding the pockets of insurance companies is more important than providing affordable medical care to the country's elderly and infirm. He thinks nothing of letting over 2,000 Americans die on a foreign soil so that his daddy's folly can be avenged and his vice president's company can be pulled out of bankruptcy with no-bid contracts riddled with fraud and overcharges. And he believes that the federal actions we experienced in Katrina-ravaged areas are sufficient to protect us from future terrorist attacks.
You know what? Being called "deeply irresponsible" from a man with values this twisted is a badge of honor.
