John Kaye and the Overlords have an unusual gig from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday -- they will be performing at the finish line of the first Silverman Triathlon.
The triathlon begins at 7 a.m. Sunday near Boulder City. Contestants have until midnight to cross the finish line at the Henderson Multi-generational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway.
The event features a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run.
The Overlords are lead vocalist and guitarist John Kaye (nephew of Mary Kaye, of the Mary Kaye Trio fame); lead guitarist Charlie Liles; drummer David White; and vocal-ist/bassist Faust Ruggiero.
The group is scheduled to play at the Tower Records grand opening at the Galleria at Sunset mall from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 20.
