Letter: Glad to be away from Vegas, mayor
Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 | 8:22 a.m.
It's no wonder I moved out of Las Vegas earlier this year. With the word "crisis" connected to almost every Clark County agency, now Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is making statements about public caning and amputating thumbs. He is taking these ideas from the type of punishments that also gives you 800 lashings for drinking alcohol. Maybe the mayor better think twice or, better yet, maybe he better just think.
